Stanislav Libenský Award 2011 & Glass.Design

46 days of world glass at the Imperial Stables at the Prague Castle: artworks of young international glass-making artists and great personalities of European design from September 16th to October 31st, 2011. Opening of the exhibition and Gala Evening with Stanislav Libenský Award Ceremony will be held on September 15th, 2011.

The Imperial Stables

Rudolf II. had built new stables at the end of the 16th century. The representative style of the imperial court is reflected in the generously designed space as well as in the beautiful barrel vault with sectors and network of false stucco ribs. In the western part of the castle stables there is located Prague Castle Picture Gallery, the eastern wing underwent some bizarre stages including a gym and a paint workshop in the last century. Today we open the gates wide and invite you to an off-beat and inspirational artistic experiences.

How to get there?

The easiest way is to take a tram to the station Prague Castle. Cross Prašný most (Powder Bridge) and enter the castle grounds through the North Gate with an honor guard. Entrance to the Imperial Stables is a few steps away, on the left side of the passage.
